Staff are so professional, even with the language barrier they try to understand you and help you. Room are clean no carpet and it is very good for allergies. Rooms are so big. Really love here. Silent place no traffic noises. Free parking wit secure location. Many local place to eat. Very near to manhattan. Thank you I am going to leave on 22 April.

Had reservations staying here after reading some recent reviews but had a good experience over 6 nights. Room on 5th floor was very good, all areas well maintained, reception staff extremely helpful and the breakfast choice greater than expected. Only niggles the dated shower fitting and when we returned early one evening the bar was shut. Close to Tarrytown which can be driven too and is worth a visit.

SpringHill Suites Tarrytown Westchester County by Marriott was a multi-level hotel conveniently located off of State Route 109 (White Plains Road). Hotel property faced a busy, divided road with access to nearby Interstates 287 and 87 as well as Saw Mill River Parkway. Hotel grounds were minimal as the rear and sides were surrounded by a wetland area. Parking lot was small and nearly full capacity at the time of my visit. Pot and hemp odor were prevalent and persistent throughout the parking lot at the time of my stay. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. Guest suite was generally clean. Guest suite furniture was current however the lighting fixtures were a bit worn. Guest suite bathroom faucet featured a minor leak - issue was not reported. Kitchenette available in guest suites; both fixtures and cabinetry were also worn. Breakfast buffet selection was limited and of average quality. Hotel location was proximal to several commercial and office sites with traffic congestion weekday mornings and evenings. Several chain restaurants, fast food establishments, diners, and retail stores were located within driving distance of hotel but not within walking distance. Overall tolerable experience but I will likely select a different hotel when conducting business in the Tarrytown region.

We booked 3 nights but checked out after one sleepless night in room 618. We've stayed often at Marriott properties and never encountered such a subpar facility. We relayed our many complaints to the front desk, as did the disgruntled couple checking out before us who cited the same issues: lumpy/soft mattress in need of replacement/ minimal bathroom lighting that made it impossible to apply make-up, put in contacts, etc, /a TV so poorly positioned that it couldn't be readily seen from either the bed or the sofa/ a weird tight room configuration that required squeezing from the right side of the bed to the bathroom/ a broken closet door that opened tight against the foot of the bed & was difficult to reopen/ an absence of a door separating the bed from the sofa bed ( which we did not open but read awful comments about elsewhere!) which would have been an issue if we intended to use that additional sleeping space/ noisy bathroom lighting.......At check in, no one explained about the "free breakfast" schedule so at 9:05, it was gone, as was the coffee in the "always available coffee counter". Another guest asked me if I'd been told breakfast was only until 9:00, considering that yes it was a WEEKDAY, but guests were staying there for the HOLIDAY weekend & should have been accommodated or at least notified to be downstairs before 9:00.

Stayed here for two nights with a group. Our room was on floor 1 which is two floors down from where you enter the lobby on floor 3. That certainly gives you that “basement” feeling. The entire length of the hallway on floor 1 smelled like smoked weed both days. The room was very typical old style Springhill suites: carpeting with no pad underneath, thin walls (could hear urinating next door), and tub with shower curtain that needed to be replaced! The mirrored light in the bath sink area was very dimly lit making it extremely difficult do put on makeup. First day I went to the front desk and asked a simple question. The woman “Mae” looked at me and spoke with such attitude and in the end, did not help me. Marriott needs to get rid of stuffy rude employees of that nature. Front desk staff is the customers first impression of that property! The other staff that we all encountered seemed quite nice. The positive is that it has a convenient location off the 87/287. However, the negatives heavily outweigh that so I would highly recommend to book elsewhere. The new built Springhill Marriotts are extremely nice properties but this one is old style and needs to be updated.
